How do I create an account?
Click “Start Free Trial” on the homepage. You can sign up with your email address or your Google account. No credit card is required for the free Starter plan.
What file format does my resume need to be?
PDF only, with a maximum file size of 5MB. Make sure your resume is text-based (not a scanned image) so the AI can extract your information accurately.
How long does a career analysis take?
Usually a few minutes. The AI is searching multiple job platforms, scoring each result, writing cover letters, and tailoring your resume — all at once. You'll get an email when results are ready.
What countries does Aya support?
Currently Canada, United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. More countries are being added based on user demand.

What does the match score (0–100) mean?
The score reflects how well a job aligns with your skills, experience, and career trajectory. A 70+ means you're a strong candidate. A 90+ means it's an exceptional fit. Jobs scoring below 70 are filtered out automatically.
Which job platforms does Aya search?
Aya searches across LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Monster, and other major platforms simultaneously. You don't need accounts on each — Aya handles the searching.
Can I run multiple searches for different roles?
Yes. Each search counts as one career analysis. On the free plan you get 3 per month; Pro gives you 10. You can target completely different job titles, locations, or industries with each one.
What's the difference between a career analysis and a chat job submission?
A career analysis is a full batch search across all platforms with scored results and generated documents. A chat job submission (Pro only) lets you paste a single job URL into chat for instant AI analysis and document generation.

How does the AI document editor work?
Open any cover letter or resume on your dashboard. Click on a paragraph you want to change, and the AI editor appears. Type an instruction like “make this more confident”, “shorten this paragraph”, or “emphasize leadership experience” — the AI rewrites it instantly. Accept the change and save.
Can I download my documents?
Yes. Every cover letter and tailored resume can be downloaded as a Word document (DOCX). Click the download button on any document view.
Are the cover letters actually unique per job?
Yes. Each cover letter is generated specifically for that role and company. It references the job requirements, mentions the company by name, and maps your relevant experience to what they're looking for. No two are the same.
What makes the tailored resume different from my original?
The tailored version reorders and emphasizes the skills and experiences most relevant to each specific job. It uses keywords from the job posting so it performs well with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) that many companies use to filter resumes.

How does interview prep work?
First, move a job to the “Interview” column on your Kanban board. Then go to the Interview Prep page, select that job, and click generate. Aya creates 24 questions across categories: role-specific, behavioral, company-specific, and closing questions. Type your practice answers and get AI feedback scored 0–10.
What does Skills Gap Analysis show me?
Three things: (1) Certifications — which ones you have, which are expired, and which you need; (2) Skills You Have — confirmed from your resume and job matches; (3) Skills to Develop — what employers in your target roles want that you're currently missing, with a learning tracker.
Can I download my interview prep?
Yes. You can download your generated questions and answers as a Word document for offline practice before your actual interview.

Do you share my information with employers?
No. Your resume and profile are never shared with employers or recruiters. Aya is a tool for you — you decide when and how to apply.
Is AI being used on my data?
